Singapore – 23 March 2010 – Pioneer Electronics AsiaCentre today announced the launch of the Pioneer MVH-8250, single DIN receiver. The debut of the MVH-8250 continues to expand Pioneer’s line of in-car entertainment products that enhance the driving experience through innovative integration of digital media, iTunes®Tagging, iPod Video and more.
The popularity of digital media players such as the iPod continues to change the entertainment landscape for everyone. For the first time, Pioneer has introduced an in-dash receiver designed with digital media playback from the iPod, USB storage devices and Secure Digital (SD) memory cards as the primary sources.
Pioneer’s MVH-8250 is a single DIN receiver that features a built-in 3-inch TFT screen as the digital interface for audio and video capabilities. Complete control of iPods / iPhones via USB is accomplished with Pioneer’s highly regarded 7-way Rotary commander and a new on-screen display was created so all features of a connected iPod or iPhone can be fully accessed and controlled.
The unit offers playback of MP3, WMA and iTunes AAC music files via USB and SD memory card, while the USB port is located directly on the front face of the receivers and the SD memory card slot is located discretely behind the removable front face.
To enhance the listening experience, particularly for compressed digital formats, Pioneer equipped the digital media receivers with its Advanced Sound Retriever (ASR), a patented technology that helps to restore the musical details lost when compressed music files are created.
The inclusion of an 8-band graphic equaliser provides the ability to adjust the sound of the system to suit the vehicle and listener, while dedicated hi-volt (4 Volts) pre-amp outputs for front, rear, and subwoofer add to the overall system building flexibility.
The Pioneer MVH-8250 will be available from March 2010 at a suggested retail price of S$649.
