    My 1st Simple Case Mod

After using my lappy for a long time, i decided to build my own desktop, and also with some basic mods, like fans and light tubes.

Just to inform you guys, the 1st part of my thread will show a different casing from the 2nd part of the thread, that is because, after spray painting my spare casing i had, i left it to dry outside my hse, and within 2 hrs, a bangla worker threw it away, thinking it was rubbish!!! (damn tulan), so after that, i bought a cheap casing from slq for abt 25, w/o p.s.

This was a simple plan i made up to design the casing, my plan was to cut a square in one of the side windows and replace it with clear arcylic with fans mounted on it, as you can also see, i made the marking on the side window for cutting, everything was almost complete, until...the bangla ATTACKED!

My first step was to change the front cover of the casing, my theme was yellow and black, so i decided to follow that combination.

I bought this yellow light tube from slq, and it came with a on/off switch. After careful planning, i decided on the locations of the light and the switch. To place the switch i had to cut/drill a hole at the back of the casing.

After the drilling, i spray painted the whole casing black.

The case had a compartment to place the hdd, i sprayed that yellow.

I also sprayed those slot covers at the back of the casing, yellow.

Since 1 of the side windows was going to be mod, i didnt had the other side to be just plain black, so i decided to give it some lines. But the sad part was that, i ran out of yellow and was lazy to get one, so i used orange!!

This is the side window that is abt to have arcylic mounted upon.

    Together,
