What type of rubber fan screws do you prefer? xuejia22 Apr 22nd, 09, 04:00 PM #1 (permalink)
*Update*
Order has been placed for Flushed Rubber Rivets. Refer to sales thread here!

Wanna do some market survey to see which of the 2 types of open chassis rubber fan screws is preferred. I may order in large quantities from froze's MO for the benefit of all forumers here since this stuff is VERY RARE in Singapore.

*I'm not sure if the Poll thingy works.. If not just reply your preference here!*

1st one: Flushed Rubber Fan Rivets

2nd one: Dual Head Rubber Fan Rivets

Me and a few guys ordered over a hundred before some years back. I have like 50 of them but to date I am still on my first 12 because unlike rubber, sillicone does not harden and crumble over time.

Anyone who has played stretchy with bluetack/condoms will know what kind of elasticity I am talking about.

We ordered these... cant remember if we ordered from this site or elsewhere. The animated picture says it all. If it can stretch like that, it will absorb all vibration unlike rubber ones that are still rigid.

They also have the double ended version here

Not selling bro

50 will last me for life. Considering I been using the same first 12 pieces for at least 3 years already and they are still as stretchy as ever.

$1 a piece (according to price on website) is pretty cheap for the best soft mounts in the Universe.

Interesting info.. But for hassle free, I'll be participating in froze's MO for this. Only SW have the rubber screws and they are relatively cheap. Have googled info on this and it seems they are still quite flexible.
