Was trying to rip my CM5 apart to start on my 1st modding. But i was stuck at this stage, i cant remove the top black panel

They are been attached by this kind which i assume is a rivet?

Anybody can tell me how to remove these?

you must use a drill and drill into the center of those rivet. basically destroying them. to reattach you need new rivets and a rivet gun!

CAUTION: be sure to find replacement first. as fas as i heard, those small and short rivets are not easy to find!

You can use bolt and nuts to reattach everything back...don't have to be rivets.

To remove, drill out the middle of the rivet. Or dremel the end off also can.

Fasten back with bolt + nut. Get from Daiso (IMM one has a big selection) or Kelantan lane screw shop.

Yes, but usually for cases, M3 bolts are perfect

ya i guess so is this size, cos my past 2 hrs i had been using only one type of screwdriver to remove all the other screws!!!

I would advise to use rivets though. And yes, luppin is correct. The specific rivets are VERY rare in sg. You can definitely find the correct sized rivets, but you can't find those with very short 'heads'. As far as I know, only Motherland Hardware carries those short-head rivets.

Using bolts help, but the size of the nut is a turn off. Sometimes in tricky areas, a nut can be obstructing. Besides, rivets hold your chassis together very well. Strong and firm. <-- basket this sounds so wrong.
