Im wondering if mobo is mounted CM v8 onto HAF932,
Am I still able to install 4x 120mm fans on the side panel?
I encounter this problem on the Storm Scout, after the V8 is installed
on the mobo (Asus Rampage II gene), and I tried to closed back the
side panels with 2x fans, its cant closed due to the V8, so I have to
take out the top fan in order to close it up.

I no longer have the things to measure, so kinda need some advice here
or ppl who had HAF932 to help out on this 1, thanks

I am using darkknight with the stock 230mm side fan, there is alot of clearance between my darkknight and the sidepanel.

I am assuming 161.1 is the height of the Cm v8. Comparing the V8 with the darkknight, the v8 is taller than the darknight by 2mm ie: 0.2cm, so I am pretty sure you should be able to fix your 4 sidepanel fans

Thanks, though Im stuck between N520 and V8 even though N520 doesnt perform as good as V8 in most reviews

np, when I builld my rig with uvnium, gary suggested i get the dark knight instead of the v8 because of the fan placement. For the v8, the fan is placed in between the heatpipes ( not sure if that is the correct term ), making it harder to clean. Remember that HAF 932 is a dust monster! Just get the 1 that you feel the most comfortable with and dont look back liao.


btw, is that your HAF932 in your signature? How did u paint your bezel green? Just use normal spray paint?

Yupyup, thats my baby~ Used Luminous Green paint, took out the mesh and spray em. Though I did 2 layers of grey primer and sprayed the green the effect wasnt as good as I did with white base and green. In the end, gave them all white base and 3 layers of Green over em.

Now if I go for N520, definately wanna change the 2 stock 92mm fans to gelid wing 9, oni prob is I dunno if they fit or not. Cant do anything yet since I have yet got my EVGA classified board

wow cool. Does the green theme clash with your red colored front intake fan? Do you have any pictures to share of your rig in the dark? I am considering painting mine like yours, only thing, it is in red, because my interior is a red and black theme ( i know, kinda boring lol, but i wanted my rig to match my red sidewinder x6 and diamondback )

After I finished painted mine, I realised some1 at some other forums also painted his HAF932, but red, looks awesome too. So you cant really go wrong with that color, oni what red you using.
Currently I dun have any pics of it in the dark, as I stripped it and stored along with my other components and wait for the mobo, with any luck it will be done by next week, hopefully
As for my LED, naw it wun clashed with the color theme, I already removed the front panel and changed the activity lights from Blue to Green, though looks yellowish when lit, and the front LED 230mm fan, I desoldered the Red leds and fit in with the Green ones~

ok thx. what about the interior, did u paint the interior as well? I regret not painting the interior before getting uvnium to fix up my PC.
