Finally! Completed my i7 rig! Enemata May 31st, 09, 02:53 AM #1 (permalink)
Finally, after like 2 months of waiting for all my items to get here, I've complete my i7 rig. This is my first time putting so much effort into modding and assembling a computer rig. Well, here are the pictures are like to share, would be interested in any comments on the cable management.
This are the items in my rig..

Everything seems to be running fine at stock, and as I am totally clueless in OCing, I might get NR to help with OCing this rig.
I welcome any comments there is, I've tried my best in the cable management though I might have slacked off a bit in the end.
Enjoy.
Thanks to everyone who helped my with advices and purchases.

Nice rig, cable sleeving looks good.

Not much to OCing the i7 until you start to push it hard.

Just lock in your voltages rather than using "AUTO" when overclocking so you can pinpoint what voltages are needed where and you dont pump unecessary voltage like AUTO settings does on most boards.

I tried putting the cables under the mobo first, but I couldnt mount the mobo after that. That's why it is what it is now.
I might try improving on it later.

Thanks SM & wuming .
I am quite happy of the job done, considering its my first time, but as you may experience looking back I would have done some stuff differently. The cable management I believe can be improved from its current situation with some more ties.

Oh i see.. i think i know why.. cos the screws that silverstone provided was much higher than the normal screws to fit the mobo.. Thats why your mobo canno be fitted..

nice rig.
TS want to ask did you do the cable sleeving yourself? if so where did you buy the sleeves and the pin remover and the heat shrinks? Would love to sleeve each wire on my PSU also. Have the module aerocool PSU like you have. Thanks.

I did all the cable sleeving myself, took me a while... The sleeves and heatshrink was bought from Murdermod. I ordered it myself instead of going through the MO. I ordered a psychopack as well as 2 extra length of 4.4mm sleeves + heatshrink to do up my whole PSU.
For the molex pin remover, I bought some of them from SLT. While for the 24pin and 8pin molex, I used a staple pin for those as those I bought from SLT did not fit. If you need those pin removers that I have, I wld gladly loan it to you if needed.
I took a lot of patience on my side to do the whole PSU and I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

yeah i figured as much since the sleeves look so similar. I can imagine how it would test some patience hehe but I can see you did a great job at it. I wanted to order also from murdermod but it it was quite expensive with the shipping and tax. no other choice i guess. i'll let you know should i start sleeving. however did you sleeve you sata power cables and others?
