Guys i am looking for this screw that is for casing fan but have a threaded hole in it for case screw size... the thing in gold color in the pic.. may i know what is this thing call and where got sell thanks..

It's called a thread insert.
Not very easily found.
Try hardware shops in the industrial areas

You can actually recycle it instead. I've done that countless times. Just tighten with a thumb screw and slowly yank it out.

Thx philip... i shall try it out.. i tried a plier to turn out the thing and failed... maybe really need to force it out... because another way i am thinking of ordering the rubber fan screws hopefully they are compressible.. or the worst case "enlarge" the holes on the air duct..

Give it go.. it's really easy. But be careful when it comes to inserting them into the fan. You need an oversized plier to gently squeeze them into the hole.

Not advisable if there is no material jointing the two through holes together. U need to make sure there's support or else the fan casing will crack easily.

It is not threaded thats why.. manage to tap it in with a hammer.. thanks guys for the advices.
