Cable Management help need your suggestion thx !! AhBeng369 Jul 30th, 10, 05:11 PM #1

Anyone can help me what should i do? Tried hiding the cables but it still looks horrible.

How to stick the 2 fans together also, i got no choice but to place the fan there because my 8500gt gfx card is super hot.. can go up to 80 degree sometimes with the 2 fan only 60 degree. But the masking tape looks horrible.

Best thing to do is to get a new casing la bro..if u wanna get good airflow, nice cable management. I would recommend to Ikonik En2. It cost almost the same price as a CM elite casing (69-79). Full mat black interior, cable management compartment, top 140/120mm fan. PSU at the btm. Can ask gary frm UVinium to make a fan hole at the side panel if u want a fan blowing at your graphic card. Just my 2cent

Zip ties cannot lah for side panel.

TS you should try finding the below:
Elite 430 Black - Cooler Master
Going for $79 at bell, price from last week's list.

As for tutorials on how to manage your cabling, you can go here:
Cable Management 101 by Deano12345 - Overclock.net - Overclocking.net

The easiest tip:
Disconnect all your wires, put behind your other side panel, then connect. Otherwise the clutter will remain.

How you gonna zip tie those 2 fans in the same position when there aren't any holes there?

Ultimately up to your own budget. Is whether you can live with the untidy wiring or not.

Otherwise you can buy wire management sticker clips to keep them tidy by sticking onto the motherboard tray.

If you don't upgrade frequently, just cable tie your wires together.

its not the casing sir, it's the time you take to do the cable management.
start practicing with this casing.
example:
1. folding the ribbon cable.
2. cable tie the 2 fans together.
3. don't use a fan to molex convertor in the middle of your casing.
4. sleeve the 4 pin motherboard cable and route it the other way.
5. route most of the cables through the 5.25" cage.
6. twist the sata cable around a pencil to make it into a piglet tail as the hdd to motherboard connector are too close. if you can shift it up one slot to be in line with the motherboard port even better.
7. open up the pci slots / get some silverstone aeroslots ($9 for 4 in a box), helps circulate airflow to that hot graphics card.
8. the 24pin power cable has a horrible bend i rather you go curve it by going parallel to the motherboard.

Like he said use zip ties to join the fan together. U could sleeve the front panel wire together and tuck it behind the hard disk bay and use tie wraps and wall mount to pull it to connect to the motherboard. u could also cut some cable mangament holes on the motherbaord tray if there is space for u to route the cable to the back. Best u could get a new case. There are some good ones out there with resonable price tag.

This is the top of the casing.. The only way i can hide my wires is at the HDD cage..
