using blue tacs to stick fans amduser Aug 10th, 06, 07:43 PM #1 (permalink)
Can blue tacs be safely used for sticking fans onto the casing where screws are impossible to use? and will fans secured by blue tacs fall off easily???Also on radiators

doubt so, the blue tac will dry due to the heat in e system, n wif the weight of the fan might drop off

I use normal scortch tape for places where it's not possible to use a cable tie
Intel Xeon E3110 → MSI P35 Neo2-Fr → XV 9600GT → Corsair XMS2 1GBx2 → WD 160GB Seagate 320GB → LG GH20N 20X SATA → CoolerMaster M520 → 19' AL1914 LCD

It can work.. You can also consider using 3M/ Swan heavy duty mounting tape. They're foam based and will help absorb a little vibration.

How do you all minimise the vibration the fan causes to the surface that it's leaning against, though? Any tips?
