Hi,

Please check either the warranty sticker on the underside of the MB or the serial number on the motherboard.

3 yrs from our warranty sticker or serial number...

GA-8VM800M socket 478 warranty thyik75 Mar 9th, 08, 08:17 AM #6
Hi,

I'm new to this forum. Hopeful this is the right place to ask.

I would like to know whether the above MB is still eligible for warranty claim?
The CDL sticker indicates Apr06.

If yes, what are the things I need to bring for RMA claim?

Symptom of failure:
- The MB with auto power by itself. Upon powerup halfway, it will reboot again. I had confirm that the PSU/CPU/RAM is OK.

Thanks

Regards
YikTH

hi,
i got a GA-8IPE1000G 478 mobo
sent last year for RMA (faulty Southbridge) ... which was duely fixed
cant find the receipt for the RMA
but suspect soemtime between May - June 2007 cos i posted a thread : Big Time Headache (Virus) prior to sending in the faulty mobo

having same symptoms again ...
sudden restarts ... had verified hdd, graphics card, rams, working when swapped in from other systems

1) original receipt of purchase dated 30 Nov 2005
is mine still covered by warranty ?
2) where would i find the serial number on the mobo ? topside or underside ?
3) if warranty expired, how much would it cost for RMA ?
assuming same problem (southbridge) ... the baord was sent back to Taiwan last yr when i sent for RMA ...

TIA

Hi...

the serial number is on the side of the last PCI slot... if the s/n number is 0515XXXXXX... it should be safe to send back to us for RMA. It should only incur a freight charge.
