Doing a survey...would you buy marinated chicken wings or marinate yourself?

i think marinate yourself better. you know what you like more. example, you might prefer your wings to be more saltish. so more salt.

I always marinated my chix myself back when I was a uni student.

Usually one of the two below depending on who's coming to dinner.

Option 1 uses rather expensive ingredients and is done only on special occasions like when I'm contributing a dish to a project team celebratory dinner.

Option 2 is my fave since it keeps really well and tastes better the 2nd day on. A large batch prepared on a weekend can provide me with meat for over half a week eaten with white rice or noodles.

==

Option 1.

Red wine marinate with some balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olio. Baked with some garlic and thyme and French sea salt. \

Option 2.

Red wine, sweet black soy sauce, kung pow sauce with onions. Spiced with cinnamon and star anise. Stewed for 2 hours over a tiny flame.

==

That said if it were some other meat like lamb or kangaroo I'd rather buy it ready marinated since I lack the skill and ingredients for preparing that.
