SINGAPORE : There has been a power failure in various parts of Singapore.

Callers to the MediaCorp News hotline reported blackouts in Bukit Batok, Bukit Timah, Chua Chu Kang, Crawford, Jalan Eunos, Mandai and Woodlands.

The first calls came in at about 4pm.

The Energy Market Authority, confirming the blackout, says it was due to a trip in the power supply at the two power generation plants in Senoko.

It hopes to restore supply by 5pm. - CNA /ls

Maybe it's part of the Singapore Power's consipiracy to shut down power supply in view of the cooling condition that arise these few days from the non-stop raining to cut cost..
