Anyone Currently working with a Private Degree (What course what school)
    What is your current salary?

Private = Not government supported or base.
I was like you a couple of years ago considering if i should take a pte degree
I got a SP dip then a SIM RMIT degree
got 3k for first job and currently about 400 more

my very personal narrow view (only 2 year working exp) is to get a degree whether private or ntu nus smu
the starting salary of a degree holder can be more than 1k than a diploma holder (my exp in a bank)

then get a job doing bank sales, salary about 3k, then jump from there after a year or so to a job of your choice if you don't like bank sales or cannot make it there. Only change job when the package is better and NEVER EVER quit without securing another job, so start searching early

expected salary always put 120% of current, as they will negotiate downwards if not then HOSAY liao

ALWAYS calculate the annual package and always check if there is bonus or 13th month (AWS), 1 of the MNC i worked in has no AWS and bonus is never more than 2 months, sian max

and alot of people whether private or local U makes much much more than 3k in the pte sector

Grow up and u may or will know the answer cause the world is always changing...

I personally find pte or gov dip has the same priv in getting a job... As for pay wise, it the way you PR your direct boss. I know of a pte dip get 6k salary as a executive only including 13mth & 3month performance bonus... How to compare and even ask? some boss increment base on favoritism..
