Supposedly is Pentax K-r replacement. Basically is mini version of K5 with weatherproofing just that no mention of drop shockproof. I think is for those who think the K5 is too heavy or too bulky. Should be cheaper then K5 overall.

To put into context, this one will be going up against the tentatively named D5200 and upcoming 70D as well as any other semi pro cameras at that price range....just that the K30 should be a whole lot cheaper. Where the rest are working on their video function, the K30 seems to have refined more on stills rather then video capability so see which one is the priority.

I dont really care on the color scheme if only they got put the flip lcd and mic in.

Nikon and Canon are more mass market models for entry models.

Seems like they have autofocus function for the HD movies. I do hope they can conjured a firmware to fix K5's lack of autofocus in movie mode. If they can do that, I will surely put my GH13 into retirement. Lols...
