normally able to perform during ndp day is of master dive status tat requires a particular number of jumps to be performed... how much i not so sure.. but he is really sway lo.. jump so many times nothing happened.. finally got the chance and the honor to jump on ndp day... then so sway kanna .. now cannot even continue his commando service liaoz..

but do they rig their own parachute or some else rig it for them?

they have parachute riggers to do it for them i guess...
