why do you need a credit card for? just get debit. credit card lures you to spending beyond your means and the risk of incurring huge snowballing interest payments

I know some people out there thinks that having a credit card is like a symbol of prestige or a recognition of your income level but trust me TS if you keep spending like nobody's business, its gonna be a symbol of bankruptcy instead.

Why do you even need a credit card unless you can afford to clear your balance. Personally I use credit cards for online shopping and to get perks like free insurance but I never roll over any balance so I use my card more like a charge card.

25% annual interest calculated on daily basis is not something to laugh at. I know someone who actually maxed out 5 credit cards and could only afford to service his interest every month. Eventually he declared bankrupt.

Apply for Clear card or Manhattan card.
Debit card has some restriction when you're using overseas for emergency cash.

I was using Debit for quite a while till came to point where i needed to pay something in Msia and debit isn't accepted.

Credit card to me is more for their perks and only if you have self control.

debit lor. To me the only real practical use of a debit/credit card is to buy things online.

no. a proper cc is useful if you are in sales/marketing and you need to entertain your potential clients. ultimately it is still for "face" sake if you are doing biz dealings. however ,there's always cc for businesses.

and to be honest, you dont really feel safe for using debit card online/overseas.

debit card do not have fraud prevention. if a criminal use your debit card and max out your account, it is just too bad. your $$ is gone and iirc, its gone forever.
