Just keep on killing them and hang their rotting carcesses outside your windows as a warning to the rest of the roach population. Lizards are ok la, until they drop their tail into your mouth when you are sleeping.

Is there any reason for there to be cockroaches in your room? Any rubbish bin, left over food etc?

chicken egg shells, cut half and leave it around your room. he scent wards away insects. replace once a week if not youll get compost

Its not the scent actually, the lizards associate eggs with the presence of predators and stays away.

u can get something lidat from homefix i think ranges between 20 odd bux to 60 bux

my mum uses it for her shop and its pretty effective to keep pests away
