OK

please help

I have a PIII 700, 128Mb RAM, 20GB HDD, Some random Intel Mobo and a Lite-On CD Burner.

Ive installed Win XP Pro but it keeps freezing all the time, I have got 3 Anti Virus Software on it, 2 Spyware trying to find the problem but still no use what should i do now to stop it freezing.

Ctrl-Alt-Del dont work at all

only the power switch

thanks you all in advance

how long have you had this pc and has it run fine with win xp on it?

the reason i ask is that i had a 1.2ghz pc with 128mb ram and that thing was so slow.... put win 98se and everything was good...

Too many virus scans clog old computers like shit in a tank.

Resource isn't a problem. Ask Kane213 how he got XP Pro onto a Pentium 233 MHz MMX with 96 MB RAM. You will be amazed how fast it starts up in comparison to my old PII 350 MHz!

FYI...never install more than 2 antivirus program in your system or else it would either crash or hangs your system or even slows down your fastest system to a crawl. This has been tested in my company.

Oh my goodness!
Your computer so backward ar?
You should use only 1 antivirus and increase your RAM to 256. 512 will be more than enough for Windows XP. But if you want to budget, 256 will work... I think Windows XP need Pentium 3 and above. If still cannot either buy new computer or downgrade OS
