Need advise for amount of ram for Win Xp Home 32bit arucard Oct 5th, 07, 03:37 PM #1 (permalink)
Is 4GB just nice or winxp or 3GB? I tried googling around , read about what PAE , chim man , anyone can advise me please.

3gb is the max for winxp, 4gb i dun think the xp will read it or use it.

on 32-bit MS OS you can forget about 4GB.

/PAE will never work on XP SP1, XP SP2 and Vista 32-bit. Only 3.25GB will be detected.

All 4GB and above will be detected if you install XP x64 or Vista 64-bit.

I think 3GB is sufficient for you friend or Vista 64-bit. this must be provides you with all kind of needs and may make your processor processing fast too so you have to go for 3GB it is better to use here,,,or you can have a choice of Vista 64-bit.so try to make a choice over 3GB..
