Good list!

But 1 word of caution for IT admins who think of deploying these software in your company - not every one of them is usable (free-to-use) in a corporate/profitable environment. Remember to check the EULA before deploying.

Lol yeah this is a good thread. I am downloading most of the software now and intend to try them after exams. Must slowly go and install and try it out.
Btw, please do an update. Sygate Firewall now taken over by symantec and its not free anymore. I feel I now using zonealarm and my internet page takes much longer time to load. Or could it be my AVG antivirus?

Also, everest free edition is discontinued.

U try then u will know lah.
Software can just try u dun like then uninstall. Won't cause u much problems wat.

That's why i like playing around with software stuff rather than hardware where it becomes quite hard to troubleshoot. At the most now i format my whole partition.

Use others lor. AVG not bad and Zonealarm is also not bad. I trying to download the other firewall software like no more free one already except for zonealarm.

I am going to finish downloading all the stuff in this thread and test them out. lol...

yoz john i know 2 more free firewalls, Sysgate and Agnitum Outpost ... but generally i reco ZOne Alarm the best. Sysgate is actually better but too chim to use~

There are many paid versions. If u click on sygate link u will find that the free version is already discontinued as sygate is now being taken over by symantec with reference to the threads last time.
