hey guys any program that is recommended to convert AVI into Audio file?

i have this concert video that i want to convert into MP3 or other audio Format.

you can use this free software called VirtualDub to extract and save the audio stream to a wav file...then convert it to mp3 or something

I didn't even know this was possible. But i think its good for like u watch the shows then u want the song in MP3 format. VCD mpeg format can or not?

Or got any software convert .avi to mpeg?

I last time use windows movie maker cannot leh. Waste my time only

if possible the best shareware media conveter would be RiverPast product, also compatible with WMV with time-trancode feature...

do you know: if you convert to .dat which is VCD format...you can rename to .mpg or .mpeg without need to convert, play in any media player support mpeg format

now that i have extracted, how to shorten the file? gt some parts i dun want to hear.

download audacity sound editor at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

load your audio and you can edit or cut

Isit same as sound forge? Because my sound forge died on me when i was forced to register an unliscensed version... So now i hunting for other software
