Even though MSO12 UI look realistic...I don't fantasy myself being in futuristic generation and seem would discourage users/company to pay for that price at all...which known to be overkill with Avalon(heavyweight graphic rendering) for professional user...
What we need:
It the Freedom, to be able to customize and free plugins to improve our creativity designs without the need for expensive 3D editing software...that is not possible in proprietary world but open source. Luckily OpenOffice team have managed to understand users long-time woe in others office productivity software that it is possble for OpenOffice to become the de facto standard within the next few years when upgrading large numbers office PC is feasible.
While OpenOffice feature OpenDocument format is still in fancy...but will soon widely adopt worldwide if the coporate policy enforce users to save that format for interoperability with others supported software. (OpenDocument setup by OASIS Consortium)
Introduce for education staff to be an early adoptor of OpenOffice is important for students productivity, knowledge and to reduce piracy software, therefore, could it help to leverage the school prestige?
