i recently did a reformat cos my os was slowling down for no reason, so after reformating.. i dl all the patches.. and guess wad? is the stupid patches tt MS gave out tat cause me system to be laggy.. i need 5mins to start-up... :shoot11:
i press crtl+alt+del and see that the "system" is always under load load for no reason at all...

anyway i did a reformat 2 days back.. guess what? my os is no longer laggy, my 'system' did not have crazy full load for no reason. and it almost gave an heartatk and i tot my HD failure...
oh yaeh and my boot up went back to my less den 1min liao

it seems that Sp2 connection patch is a stupid defective program, or maybe i dled and it gt corrupted? anyway i've stopped the stupid updates of MS to save myself another stupid reformat due to some unknown problems... anyway i dun really bother to find out much bout this stupid error, one word to label the patch : STUPID.

Well I have all the patches MS issued & my PC takes less than 1 mins to start up. Mind you, mine's a 3500 which is only a bit faster than your's. Perhaps problem lies elsewhere.

Eh I think the problem is isolated. I'm on SP2 and I dun take 5minutes. Maybe 2.5minutes ba.
And the patch dun anyhow install, choose properly.
