Your usage doesn't require any antivirus software

The longer you let the virus stay on your system the greater the risk. The virus penetrates the registry and will create bogus pop up alerts. It will alter your browser or system desktop settings. It also has spyware and keyloggers which can steal sensitive information. This can include passwords, social security, and credit card numbers.

So how did WinPC Antivirus get into your computer? There can be a number of ways. For instance:

• Accessing malicious freeware programs. There is a reason why many of these programs are free. The developers are paid instead to bundle them with malicious items.
Writng a blog, lol? it has no meaning when you does not contribute to the question. You should consider post in this forum blog. Your post simply useless to post as it is a common sense that we all already knew.

Kaspersky can be rather heavy on system resources although the protection is excellent.

I personally prefer Eset NOD32 for paid antivirus solutions. Consistently ranked amongst the top for performance and occupies one of the smallest footprints for antivrus software.

Otherwise there's also the free Avira Antivirus. Light on resources & good protection at no cost.

supporter of NOD32......low resource usage and efficient enough.

Antivir is the best. Better than AVG and the Norton's etc of the paid world. I swapped over to it from Norton.

Try eScan. As good as Kaspersky, but much cheaper. Kaspersky seems to be getting quite lousy recently. NSIS installation errors, too many false positives with version 2010, troublesome installation processes. The version 6, 7 and 2009 used to be quite good, but can't really say the same about 2010 though...
