dear forumers pls help me ! ! !

im now crurrently writing a VB program, linked wif microsoft access, which is something like a notification server application. so i used GSMcomm as my library and im able to send to single mobile and multiple mobile, either by clicking send button in the program or @ a designated time. btw im using a bluetooth conenction, frm my laptop, to my SE K800i mobile phone (it acts as my modem)

but now the prob is, i wanna make it into like an alarm.... the svr wld send the WAKE UP ! ! ! msg every 1 min to the user until the user sends a msg back to the svr and it stops the svr frm sending...

PLS HELP ! ! ! !

Since you are using a mobile phone. You need to use AT command to read from your phone memory. (as the phone OS will receive and store the sms first). Again use AT Command to set to read from memory.

Probably, using a USB GSM modem is much easier. Go buy one and save the headache.

in fact erm... i tired using AT command using hyperterminal but fail... but some how if i were to use the normal GSMComm program, i cld read it off the phone. but yea i dont understand the part in the program where it can reads the smses frm the phone and i have 0% clue on how to even use tat part of a code into my program @@

and erm how much wld a USB GSM modem cost?

Use a timer to read SMS (AT+CGML) every 1 minute. Timer interval set at 60,000 and parse the incoming sms.
