Norton 2010 shard Oct 21st, 09, 12:07 AM #1 (permalink)
I moved from Norton and Zone Alarm years ago because they were getting too bloated, took up alot of resources and were slow compared to products like Eset NOD32 and Comodo firewall.

Today after failing to install NOD32 v4 on one of my systems, I decided to give Norton 2010 a try.

All I can say is WOW, they really made it alot faster and it is a pleasure to use. This is compared to a NOD32 and Comodo combination that I have been very happy with for the last few years.

I can see myself switching back to Norton for all my systems.

Whether Norton 2010 could takeover NOD32 as #1 next year? We wait.

In my opinion, some of the programmers at McAfee should really quit their jobs and do something else.

McAfee is not only a badly designed POS, but there are some critical flaws that will completely mess up your system.

The last time I used it years ago, it changed the dates of all my emails from the date received to the date scanned. I had about 2 years worth of emails at that time and every single one was changed to the date I installed McAfee.

Nortan is very good antivirus and it works well in my PC since last 10 months I am using. I have installed so many different different anti-virus software but it works. Actually I was getting so many problem while running Internet in my PC. So I tried so Nortan to control virus. It fixes the warm and virus files, I keep it updated through Internet. I will surely install 2010 version of it.

Every files' timestamp was touched. They are using old skool style that is why their annual subscription are damn cheapest in the world, SGD$2+ per PC for enterprise!

AVTest for 2010 is coming soon, it should conclude which AV are the best, if the ranking are the same as 2009, we can conclude it is merely a face-lift version. Please understand that 2010 should be the important year to take note, there might be even more hackers ready to strike with their agenda.

I would not trust America product to secure my computer since even Microsoft Windows are vulnerability and took sometime to fix a hole.
