i have a canon 80-200 lense that needs a bit of internal cleaning. any where to recommend and roughly how much it will cost?

80-200L?

I think u can only go 3rd party shops - TCW.

Because IIRC, Canon will not service any lens that's older than 10 yrs old.

hmm not too sure... need to bring down and ask...

clean fungus or dust?

if it's the latter, then clean it unless it doesn't affect image quality.

depends on the severity loh... some fungus deep rooted in the glass liao...

if that's e case, it's time to use the lens as door stopper or paper weight

any recommendated shops? I rem sending the camera bodyto a shop next to cathay photo in penisular cost abt 70, which is abt 7 years.

Any other recommendations? preferably near town.
Upgraded to the Starhub Core 2 Duo notebook and then to ASUS G1 blink blink..and I love it!!

if no one reply then I'll go back to the penisular one.

wah I've no idea for other shops leh... I think there's camera hospital somewhere dhoby ghaut.. at sunshine plaza IIRC.. but no idea how much they charge.

Anyway, didn't know I already replied 2yrs ago.. time flies darn fast

haha yeah...anyway more impt is that the service is gd and no lost items or damaged goods

uncle don...always go back to the service centre....anything more than 10yrs dun bother cleaning....cos certain parts they wont have spares anymore....its dangerous to open up....sometimes service centre will reject the job....
