As of now, heart diseases and stroke are responsible for the highest number of fatalities in Singapore. SHF aims to raise awareness of the risks of heart diseases and to educate the general population about the benefits of being heart healthy. SHF has been organizing annual World Heart Days based on a theme provided by the World Heart Federation. The theme this year is Workplace Wellness, Work with Heart. Activities include free health screenings, stage games, exhibitor booths, a mass chair yoga session and supermarket tours. This year, Work @ Play Photography Competition is one of the fringe activities.
The competition will begin on 27th July and end on 25th September. Winning entries will be exhibited at the 2-day World Heart Day event held at Woodlands, the open field next to Causeway Point.
Simply take a picture related to the theme, “workplace wellness”. Submit all entries to Singapore Heart Foundation office, 9 Bishan Place, #07-01 Junction 8 (Office Tower) Singapore 579837, on weekdays between 9am and 6pm.
