i think sensor low light must have issues..negated by a faster lens.

gotta see some reviews from actual production model before we know the sensor has good high ISO performance.

LX3 (1/1.63"), Fuji F200EXR (1/1.6 ") and Fuji F30 (1/1.7")'s sensor are pretty decent at low light. Well, this S90 has a 1/1.7" sensor, which gives us some hope.

Actually, do normal consumers (those who do not have any knowledge of photography at all) know the significance of F/2.

Need to wait for reviews of actual product.

i agree!! currently available one is the LX3. The S90 is the upcoming one..

Can Nikon wake up their idea and buck up with their P&S line?? a P&S with a projector has no use at all.

DC Impress Watch Powershot S90 Photos Review

DC Impress Watch did some low-light shooting comparison of the Powershot S90 against LX3, seems that S90 tends to be better after the ISO400 settings. Given S90's similar price-point as the DMC-LX3, this should make it a pretty good competitor model against the LX3 for those who are hunting for a new P&S camera.

For those who need hotshoe capability + better lens, can opt for the G11 instead.

Cheers.
