The time has come - EOS 7D by Canon. Before we are getting excited here, this isn't official material yet but leaked on a Chinese forum. Official word may come soon.Lets take a closer look at the specs mentioned in the forum. They look interesting.

what???? 18-135 IS and 15-85 IS????!?!?!?

first one will be a very good walkabout and the 2nd.. imbal-ly wide lense with 5.6x zoom..

body wise.. it's a FF right? if it is going to follow the 5d naming convention. somehow i'm personally not excited to know if it's a 1.6x crop body because the 50d 15mp sensor is already torturing the top zoom lenses like 70-200 f4l IS

it does seems like 7D have a built-in flash. so i guess x1.6 crop factor?

I think it will be a cropped body... if I didnt see wrongly, the 2 lenses are the 2 kit lens for this body, and they are EF-S!

Yeah, agree that the high MP is kinda useless now, if even the L-lens cannot resolve such high pixel density

Hopefully this camera really have the built-in flash master as rumoured

dubious... some of these 'specs' were rumored before the 5d mk2 also and many of them turned out to be not true

yes. it is a APS-C sensor (x1.6 crop)

Price is USD$1,699 body-only or USD$1,899 with an EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM

somewhat 50D is more a better option. unless u are gg for vid recordings then 7D. imo

what's the point? 50d already making L lense cry, what about 7D w/ 18MP?

slightly cleaner high ISO (1/2 step maybe?)
movie? =.=
100% viewfinder.. ok not bad
19 AF points like 1D
8fps
