It was just few days ago when the pics and specifications of the Canon EOS 7D digital SLR camera were leaked on a Chinese forum. However, it seems that the product has become official as per today from the manufacturer's website. Check out the press release on this mid-range digital SLR.

What disappoint me was mainly the 18MP count.. Would prefer them to maintain 15MP.. stop increasing!

i guess canon is expecting prosumers to be printing billboard sized snapshots in future

i guess so, to avoid slanted images and minimise having to PS them later to make them level.
