i got a board that's about 2 years old. basically after shutting down it can't start up again. usually takes tonnes of tries before it can boot - been that way for awhile now and i always thought it was a PSU problem.

today, it wouldn't start up at all whole day, so i went to replace my PSU with a seasonic x. guess what. wasn't the PSU.

i've tried testing each of my 2x crucial ballistix rams individually, and still can't boot. i don't think it's the rams though since it was working this morning. until i shut down, and can't boot anymore.

so i have change to mobo to P55A-UD6 last 2days,
I notice that, when i install window, it load and took alot of time, like almost 5time slower than the max formula.
then when start up and off com that time, its not really that fast. like kinda slow.

I just got the above motherboard about a week plus ago. I just found out if I set the HDD SMART capability to enabled, the system will POST with a long and short beep. I will only encounter this if I do a cold boot but I will not hear it during a reboot. I have checked the SATA hard drive with the WD diagnostic tool and it is confirmed okay. SATA controller is set to AHCI mode. I recently ran into problems with new OCZ RAM modules, however the odd thing is that all 4 RAM modules keep giving me errors in memtest86+ as well as cause BSODs within Windows (something like Memory_Management) no matter if I stick to Optimized Defaults, or manually configure the RAM modules to make it run as specified. I also did tweaks as recommended by OCZ support staff themselves with no luck.

Could it be that my motherboard's RAM modules are somehow faulty? I would not rule out that I might be extremely unlucky with all 4 for my RAM modules being faulty but now the Motherboard fault is more probable.

Not sure wat happened, but e board has not been booting up...

have tried with

CPU: E2140, D820, Celeron D420 - all cpus are in working condition
Rams: Kingston KVR667D2N5/1G - rams tested on my friends mobo works fine.
Graphics: Asus 8500GT, Inno3D 7100GS & ATI X550 - VGA tested working fine too
PSU: CM 460, iCute 420w - tested working on other boards

Any ideas what went wrong? Appreciates the advise,
