I have been thinking about upgrading my rig to watercooling for sometime now and have read some articles and tips but still have some doubts. So if any pros can give some tips it would be great as I’m still quite noob at it.

Have bought the following for watercooling:
Laing DDC-Pump 12V DDC-1Plus (MCP 355)
EK-DDC X-TOP V2 - Plexi G1/4
EK-FC285 GTX - Nickel
EK-Multioption reservoir 400

Ordering the following:
Watercool HEATKILLER® CPU Rev3.0 1366 (What is the difference in LT and LC version?)
Still dunno what radiator to use... any recommendations? either 3x120mm or 3x140mm

I don't know what type of fittings and size that i need... pls help if i have left anything out~ Thanks~

Hi, i am thinking of upgrading my cpu and mobo but donno if i should buy a processor with higher speed (3.33GHz) or a processor with lower speed (like 2.5,2.8GHz) and overclock it to higher speed (like 3.30GHz). Will there be any problem if i use the overclock cpu normally (eg: leaving it 24/7, surf internet, play games etc)? Which options is better? Thanks
my current setup:
Pentium D 940 (3.20GHz)

First 5hrs with cpu. Quickie tests done and I must say these W3570 3847A696 are overclocking beasts! To be able to get screenshots and validation @4911-4966Mhz HT enabled with 1.45v bios (1.440v idle) vcore is crazy!

Temp and vcore at 4ghz (1.184v) wise, it's pretty similar to my W3520 3845A935. It's definitely cooler than my hotter W3540 3845B010 but not as cool as my i7 920 3845B260 (coolest cpu I've got).

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to start wcing for my new com but since its my first time, i need some help in planning e loop =) im looking to do a dual loop. ive been reading up but still blur on some parts :confused2

planned specs are as follow:
Mobo: EVGA x58 3-way classified
CPU: i7 920
RAM: corsair dominator gt(black/red) (still searching :D)
GFX: 5870 (can someone reccomend manufacturer)
PSU: corsair hx1000 but ive read some complaints that e psu fan may have probs. any suggestions?
Case: TJ07 (will be doing some cutting here and there)
etc etc

looking to cool my cpu, mobo, gfx. wc setup would mainly consist of:
heatkiller 3.0 (anyone selling?/where to get?)
ek x58 classified chipset waterblock
gfx waterblock: someone reccomend a good one? :D
tubing: 1/2" tygon black tubing or primochill black tubing. which one is better btw?
fittings: looking at e nice new black bitspower barbs/compression fittings
reservoir: ek multioption res 250mm x 2
rad: thermochill 120.2 and 120.3
fans: some reccomendations? prefer all black ones tyty =) noise nt much of an issue although silent ones wld be a bonus
pump: mcp 355 with res top/mcp655 which one recommended?

basically all these are wat i plan on getting so im planning early to avoid any mess ups ltr.
for a dual loop like that wld i need 2 pumps? some suggestions on hw i shld link up all these.

e.g.
1st loop: res>pump>cpu>chipset>rad (120.3)>res
2nd loop: res pump>gfx>rad(120.2)>res

e hardware has been finalised except for e gfx. if theres any reason i shld nt be getting e 5870 then pls offer me a suggestion as well :P im quite concerned that the 2 rads + fans would nt fit into e lower compartment of e tj07 since e thermochills are rather wide frm wat ive read. any issues on e space here? planning to do 2 intake 3 exhaust. thats all i can think of fr nw. any other suggestions /comments wld be appreciated.

Thanks for taking e time to read this super long post

hi, would like to know is this a CPU bound frequency

my AMD Phenom II x3 720BE could go up to 3400MHz (200*17) @ 1.45Vcore for 2 hours of OCCT.

Motherboard used Asus M4A78-EM & Asus M4A785D-M PRO, PSU is ANDYSON G480W.
Stock cooler or CoolerMaster Hyper N520 also the same, core temperature did not exceed 60°C.

I observed from the OCCT graph, is it possible that the main culprit comes from the PSU as the Vcore fluctuate quite a lot and the voltage displayed in OCCT doesn't match the setting in BIOS.
