Hi, just received my jh13 today. As you know its a 6 driver earphone. I know most of u will say pictures so here it is. Picture quality not very good as taken off iphone.

My first impression on the jh13 were they dont really sound impressive but the fit was very good. I will explain the fit was really nothing ive ever had before, its no match for complys or any other tips. It fits the ears so well and comfortably. As for the sound, it was slightly muddy and feels like it lack details. HOWEVER, 2 hours of usage and wow!! Its really amazing, the bass tigthen up and became smooth and warm. The highs details shine nicely and naturally. The midrange was so neutral i do not know how to explain em. Overall i would say it is my best buy of the year!

Some notable mentions -

Shure 440 - 69 USD
Shure 840 - 130 USD

Shipping is $39(lesser than 2)/65USD(more than 2) flat Fedex - depending on how many cans you wan to get.

use coupon Headfi to get 10% off total price, doesn't apply for shipping.

Itching to pull the trigger on both - works out to be 219USD - $317SGD - even cheaper than shure 840 locally lol.

Hi,

I'm looking to have a simple setup as the sound from the speakers on my TV are horrible.

I currently have a Hubstation, an Xbox360 (old version with no HDMI), and I am thinking about purchasing a Blu-Ray player (currently have an old HD-DVD player).

I'm not too concerned about having surround sound per se, and have encountered setups where 2 standing speakers at the front would suffice. I currently use my Xbox 360 mainly for streaming AVIs from my desktop.

Would anyone have suggestions for a simple entry-level a/v receiver and speaker set-up which would serve these 3 pieces of equipment? I'm looking at a budget of between 1-1.5k (yes, I know it's small, but I think it's enough based on my simple requirements?).

One a/v receiver which seems to be affordable and is highly recommended is the Pioneer VSX-919AH.

Would a soundbar option be feasible as well for my current setup?

Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.
