Bought an iphone past Sunday and this is what i did
plugged in to i-tunes and sign-in itunes
get a prompt about diagnostic information
option to sent to apple or ignore or see details
went to see details there were 6 files of diagnostic information on crash dated from 28 oct.
I was shocked!!!!!!
the phone was also 3/4 charged, was advised by Singtel to charge phone for 8 hours otherwise cannot use.I think i have every right to assume the phone has been used right?
Please share your thoughts.
One more thing i cannot even email the files to Singtel for their technician to look at because singtel customer care was unable to provide me with an email address. They told me to print the files and fax it to them..madness!!!!!!!!
They could not even sent a new phone to me and check the other at least the case is closed with the customer. And for that i changed from M1 to Singtel...Ridiculouses man!!!!Anyone had the same thing before?

Google has released v2.0 of Google Earth for the iPhone, its portable 3D mapping software. Users navigate a graphic representation of the Earth, on which various places, businesses, photos and Wikipedia articles can be located. The second edition is a major update, allowing users to import Google Maps content from the web. After logging into a Maps account, the app can impose route information on terrain.

Interface tweaks include a new glow under selected icons, making it clearer which one is being picked. Should a finger hit more than one icon, a list now appears, allowing people to choose a specific item. The number of supported languages has meanwhile been expanded from 18 to 31, covering everything from variants of English and French through to Arabic, Hebrew and Thai. The app is a free download for the iPhone and iPod touch....

Report Forecasts that Apple Will Help Drive Mobile Game Market Sales to $11.7 Billion by 2014

According to a series of new reports the worldwide market for portable and mobile games is expected to grow to $11.7 billion by 2014. The primary driver of this growth is expected to be the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch systems. By 2014, sales for games on the iPhone/iPod Touch are expected to account for about 24% of total portable game software sales.

“The dedicated portable game systems from companies like Nintendo and Sony are still expected to lead the market, but it appears growth for these devices has peaked. The platforms from Apple are expected to be responsible for the bulk of market growth over the next few years,” says DFC analyst David Cole....

Hi guys,im using a iphone 3gs white (1.5months old), and it felt like it was heating up on serveral...

Hi guys,im using a iphone 3gs white (1.5months old), and it felt like it was heating up on serveral occasions. Most of the time i would just stop using to let it cool down, but on this 1 incident which happen last week; i remembered offing all the apps before slipping it into my pocket. when i took out my phone, it felt hot and i was unable to switch on my phone(no apple logo whatsoever, totally BLANK), so at that point of time i assumed it was some app i forgot to off that ate my battery life away(like 30-40% gone in 1-2hour) So when i got back, i tried to charge the phone, but there was no response. plugging it into the computer didn't work either, the computer couldn't read the iphone. There was zero response from the phone even after charging it for an hour. So of course i assumed it was damaged, probably faulty hardware. The following day i decided to try 1 more time before bringing it to comcentre, so i removed my simcard, then wala, phone went back to normal. After that,i reset the phone to default settings.

the Apps that i was using when it starts to feel hot is usually LIVEPOKER by ZYNAG. and it drains like 10%or more in 15-20mins?

So can someone enlighten me, is it a faulty phone,or is it this particular APP thats giving me this problem and how long of usage does it take usually to cause heating in the phone....

If someone has used this app, could you give me ur feedback too.thanks

While there are now over 100,000 apps in the Apple App store, the vast majority of them were created on a shoestring budget.

With customers flocking toward lower-priced program, it just doesn’t make business sense to spend big development dollars—especially on games, the App store’s most crowded category.

John Carmack, co-creator of the “Doom” and “Quake” franchises, though, believes the time is coming when someone will spend $1 million or more to build an iPhone game.

“I wouldn’t be shocked if someone has one in development right now, though they probably don’t realize it will run that high yet,” he says. “If a title could do well at $9.99, you could put [Nintendo] DS level development expenses into it.”

While he’s best known for his work on PC games – and, more recently, traditional console systems—Carmack says the iPhone is where he’s having the most fun. He also sees Apple’s [AAPL 194.34 0.3099 (+0.16%) ] popular smartphone as the gaming system with the biggest potential for future growth....
