Qns about POEMS intraday... Avatar_Viper Sep 16th, 07, 01:37 PM #1 (permalink)
can poems do intraday trading? for example i buy a stock @ 9am and sell off @ 12pm... and how to set a stop/profit limit?

and how do i read the last, buy and sell columns?

for example, if i wan to buy a stock should i read the buy or sell column?

likewise, if i wan to sell a stock which i brought, should i read the sell or buy column?

intra day trading is ok for poems. no rules on that. just buy and sell within a day and it will be called a intra day trading.

as for the stop/profit limit, i believe it need the pro trader which is free for one month and after tat, should need points to exchange or paid for the services.

for the buy and sell, the buy column is the current price queued to buy and the sell column is the current price queued for selling.

for eg, if u want to buy the shares right away~ u will buy the price at the sell column as it is the price the seller are selling right now. If not, u can queue for the price at the buy column.

if u wanna sell ur shares right away, u see the price at the buy column. if u wanna sell at the price of the sell column, u will need to queue for it..

i hope i answer all your questions... i just started trading not long ago too.

If u are going to buy a stock, just select the action and enter your price, sell price is the one you are buying at. Buy price is the price they are buying back from you.

Sell prices are higher then buy price.

if that's the case, why when i click on the sell price in poems, it direct me to an order page where the sell option is selected?

BUY price higher than SELL price only occurs when the market is not trading.
examples =
-> Before trading begins for the day
-> During lunch break for the day
-> After market closes for the day

I doubt you saw them while trading was active.

This usually occurs only when someone bids at a premium price to get ahead of the queue, or force buy after missing the shorting period.

In poems context, the BUY = there are people who want to buy at $xxx and SELL = there are people who want to sell at $xxx
