someone from the organisers of Robert Kiyosaki's seminar called me and offered me the seminar fee for abt $350 (usual price is abt $1200) cos of a tie-up with Women's Weekly.

Most of what he wrote as life stories are proven as fake.
And what he says are just the usual common sense when investing.

People rather listen or "hand-holding".

Tom dick and harry all giving seminars / training le. Some is 4 years trading experience nia, wtf.

I know of some friends who almost weekly go seminars or training and still they achieve ****-all in real life after so much of these.

buy books can liao, they are saying the same things for sure. The same as in software development training.

One of the reasons why he is so successful is because his target market is America and their family system is very different from us here in Asia.

Hopefully I am not over generalizing but Asian families tend to be alot closer compared to families in the US and we do learn alot more from the life experience of our parents by having more contact with them.

Compared to a culture that expects their children to move out and considers people who still live with their parents after college losers (watch the movie Failure to Launch). It is no wonder that they need to pay someone to teach them what comes to us naturally.
