Err, SMU? NTU? NUS? Or even SIM. I don't think there're actual schools for "investment"... you might wanna do economics or business. Unless you're referring to those schools where they teach you how to play shares/market... which would be the

there are no schools for investments and if they say they can teach it, i'd find it hard to believe them.

first of all are you talking about investments or trading/speculating?

...most people think they are investing when they are actually trading/speculating. investing entails buying a product (stock, bond, reit., ..), holding it for a long duration, and then reap profits as its value appreciates. important not to confuse the two.

buffet is an investor --- so was tamasek and GIC until lately, only heaven knows what happened to their 30 yr time horizon.

if you're talking about trading/speculating --- best place is apply for an internship at a investment bank. DB, Barclays, JP Morgan have excellent programs.

if you want something more specific like technical analysis you can take a CMT or CFT (certified market technician, certified financial technician)

schools can only teach you the academic side (10%) the other 90% you'll probably have a better chance learning that by playing texas holdem

there are tons of books to read and learn from, and don't be surprised they are more useful than going to school and learn from so-called 'experts'

I think you mean trading? You are looking for a mentor not a school.

You need to look for sifu for this. This is a complex game with many risks. There are reputed training centers for trading in the US but not here, the regulations are too laxed. In the US, the teacher needs to be a certified CTA. Commodities Trading Advisor.

Reading books is one thing, trying it yourself on simulated trades is the next step, then, the real thing.

Read up for more methods and techniques, but it is not the methods and techniques, it boils down to YOU. There is no Holy Grail out there. The Holy Grail is in you.

Books are good to an extent. It is the mind part that is difficult. You learn martial arts from a sifu, not from books.

How to execute kung fu moves is different from how to fight. To learn fast you need a mentor and to read up.
