Scalper trading - ANy recommended forex brokers?? hangman Jul 28th, 09, 05:30 PM #1 (permalink)
Hi all

I am thinking of going Live trading using scalper-ing techniques. Will be doing 5-10 trades max within day, each trade will last from less than 1 minutes to max 1 hour [If target pip gain is not realized], and for each trade round the target pip gain will be minimum of 2 pips gain.

Are there any reputable/trustable forex broker who ALLOW aggressive scalpering? Would prefer forex brokers with branches in Singapore or foreign forex brokers with good track record pertaining to scalper-traders.

SCALPERING is LEGAL. Lot of forex brokers dislike such practice on the ground of unprofessionalism/lacking skill and some other bullshxt/excuses.

I doubt if you can make suficient money doing scalping on retail networks. Even in the interbank market, scalping by traders are getting increasingly difficult, especially with programmed arbitrage trading being introduced.

What form of scalping will you be using?

USA the... NFA? prohibts traders from hedging, which is the main strategy of what majority of the automated traders use, including myself. If hedging is your strategy in scalping, you'd be good looking for a swiss broker.

Scapling is allow in any brokers unless it is stated. Scapling target depends on each individual but mostly it is ard 5-10 or even 15 the most.....time frame either on 1 or 5 mins. It can also be on 15mins as well, it all depend on the trader themselves.

Hedging is not mine scapling strategy.

I am thinking of signing up a live account with Oanda Singapore but all the bad reviews i read online about bad brokers stopping you from profiting simply turns me off. They treat u like clients when you lose but will use all means to swipe you out when you keep winning consistently. Techniques applied by broker include, but not limited to, delay order execution or filling time, hunt down your ST/TP, excessive price manipulation, and if all else fail they will ban your account and freeze all your funds.

I read a lot of DD brokers does all the above, and finding a trustworthy ECN/STP brokers is hard nowsday. If a ECN/STP let you profit consistently, it means that they have no intention of letting you withdraw your funds.

So what reality means is that even if i have a solid plan/strategy which keeps winning like 90% of the time, i have to purposely make some losses to coax mine broker so that i can withdraw mine money eventually? If that is the case, e-forex is really a black market not worth risking.

You can try out InterbankFX. Its a US based forex broker that I personally use. Been doing scalping and long term fx trades since Jan 08 with them. Their bid-ask spread is relatively small too, with Eur/Usd being 2 pips.

There are many US forex brokerage firms out there, i would highly recommend that you choose them based on spread difference, ease of withdrawing money, and trading backend software used.
