Defeating Braska's Final Aeon in Final Fantasy X. coyote2 Oct 10th, 09, 09:14 PM #1 (permalink)
Ok, I know FFX is kinda old, I was late by couple of years, just started couple weeks back. Still, it is one of the best game around.

After some levelling up & customisation on the sphere grid, defeated Braska's Final Aeon without much problem, that is the last boss of the game.

Basically, teleported Tidus to end of Auron's sphere grid & given him many strength +4 so that he can do 9999 damages per turn also. Characters were armed with stone proof or stone wards to protect against Jetch's beam. Tidus casting hastega to speed up everone's attacks. Auron & Tidus on overdrives. No chance to even unleash more funky stuffs like Yuna's Holy or Lulu's double casted flare or summoning Overdrive Aeons like Anima & Magus Sisters. May have a chance to use it on Omega weapons later though.

Enjoy the video.

Ok. Finally done it last night. Might as well just share the video also.
Many blunders during the battle still. It's a good game nevertheless.

Behold, I present to you, the Omega Weapon... can someone tells me how much HP does Omega has?

Actually, these are the same character status I used to fight Braska's Final Aeon. The learning from fighting the Final Aeon is that, if your characters are too strong. Then the battle will simply resort to brute force hack & slash. Not much tricks or strategies needed.

Eg. had I managed to deal 99999 damages, I won't need to unleash things like Magus sisters or Anima's overdrives. Also, if you notice, all my characters are under powered & they got wiped out in one fell swop by Omega's Ultima magic. How do I solve that problem? I cast Auto-Life on them. So, they will happily take all the powerful attacks from Omega & sprung back to life & continue to fight on... Same goes to the Magus sisters, at one point, all three of them were killed, thanks to Cindy, the beetle bug, she has auto-life & revive all the rest & did the finishing touch on Omega. In fact, thanks to my low status, Magus sisters managed to pull off their 'Delta Attack' overdrive, twice! That makes the video more interesting then seeing Rikku or Auron just blindly dealing 99,999 many times over.

Of course, that is personal preference on entertainment value.

i like that spirit!
but that spirit is only useful when playing along the story.

when you go later into the game, you'll face dark aeons and other status immune fiends.
this is where only brute force will win.
have you tried fighting the final fiend at the calm land fiend guy?
you will definitely need ribbon and break damage limit to win. you will also need a strategy too.

haha my 2 cents.

There are tonnes of the ending on the net. I don't need to repeat that.

Let's see if the facebook link works here.

Played FF-X US version before.... was damn easy if some effort is spent on getting the ultimate weapon for some of the characters.... eg. Onion Knight for Lulu... the final boss was easier than one of the mid-game bosses

Too bad didnt have chance to play the international version with the dark aeons

I am about to start 'customising' some equipments...

Eg..

Catching all the fiends in Omega ruins to get 60x designer wallets.
30x designer wallets gets you 1x Gillionaires
1x Gillionaires lets you double the gills you get from mimics in Omega ruins.
1x Gillionaires + mimics = double of 50,000 gills nabbing mimcs = 100,000 gills/mimic.
14x mimics = 1.4million gills.
1.4 million gills = bribing Ultima for 99x pendulums.
30x Pendulum = master thief = nab only rare items

bribing Sandworm for 900,000 gills gets you 16x winning formula.
30x winning formula gets you triple overdrive
50x wings to discovery = triple AP
10x doors to tomorrow = overdrive to AP

customise one 4 slots with triple overdrive + overdrive to AP + triple AP = fastest levelling up...

(to be continue...)
