Comparatively with Cooking mama and Cooking Mama 2. Cooking Mama 3 provides more game options such as shopping and more cooking methods(using egg separator and more). Difficulty and graphics over the series progressed has indeed increased and made it more challenging thus not as much a "kiddo" game anymore as compared to the same.

After trying this game out for a short while, I realize that this game focuses much more on the player's reflexes as compared to the past. Still following different cooking instructions but this time, the speed involved is much faster. The shopping part is largely about your reflexes too. As you go shopping, you have to walk pass different promoters that will request you to bargain (catch all the snacks) or request you to try their samples(catch all the plates). It surprised me at how fast the speed of the plates and snacks went falling. Under the options tab, theres a Gardening Mama option, yet to try it out as I need to create a session so I can't comment on that.

Interface wise,Mama still remains cute although there is a slight improvement in her English, she says more things now. Graphics are slightly smoother than Cooking Mama 2. The cute little clock hand is made of carrots now!Mama and kitchen is also customisable. Music is more or less still perky & girlish.

I still have no idea what are the bonus items used for. This time we also do not get to choose our utensils. In CM2 we were able to decide which knife or mixer is better for the task that we
need to do.

Good game so far.... completed around 33 dishes with perfect score... this is definitely much better than gardening mama, which gets boring after a while (maybe I just appreciate food more than flowers) =P

What's the shopping mode for actually? Any bonuses tied to it?
