Here was my mistake:
1. I gave my $200.
2. I gave my passport.
When he came back, he said, no more silver on stock and that he already registered my name. I asked for refund, he said no more refund since my name is already registered. That is where everything heated up. Gave me few phone options which prices are insanely high! So I said, okay lah, I will get the black one.. Left again..
When he got back, he is charging me $570.. $190 for the phone, $380 for the SW update. I said this is bullshit! Im calling my friend and Im about to ask him to call a police.. but he said, police can come hours after his buddies can drag me out of Lucky Plaza. Some more, if that happened, forget about my passport. (Im worried about my Maldivian expat status in my passport that costed me a fortune)..
I said, never mind.. I will pay. When I tried the phone.. "NO NETWORK".. and the phone given to me is no longer the new phone presented earlier! I said it's not working.. he said.. I cannot refund. And I cannot go outside the building in good shape if I wont pay the balance. He told me to just get other merchandise "OF THE SAME VALUE".. so i said, I'll just get a bluetooth headset and another phone.. BUT, THE BLUETOOTH HEADSET ALONE COSTED $570 ALREADY, SAME HEADSET I BOUGHT FOR $80 IN IMM LAST NOVEMBER, 2008!
Experience is indeed a teacher that charges insanely high tuition fees. So I will share to everybody. Let me pay for the tuition myself.. my treat for the whole class!
