i just bought a sony walkman MP3 video player, NWZ-E436F, with a price tag of 160 (normal price 169).
i was quite interested because the guy gave freebies like leather pouch and lanyard, and a teddy bear, whereas in sony centre, the price is 169 with also a free leather pouch and lanyard. so hey, why not, rite?
so i took one set, paid it at the cashier, and go back to the stall to claim my stuff. he gave me one box of sony walkman, when i asked him, "do i need to check it?" he said "u dun need to". so i trusted him, somemore, its best denki, a major leader in electronic stuffs.
that where i went wrong. i went home, checked the stuff. to my amazement, here are the things that freaked me out:
- the mp3 default language is in chinese (where default should be english, rite?)
- the sticker to cover the screen is already peeled out before (there is a residue left from the culprit)
- the screen showed that a song has been played before. (it stopped at 2:36)
- the date and time showed current timing (default should need to be set up wad)
- the plastic that contains the related documents and stuff is already opened before (the scotch tape is not in the right place, and traces of dusts).
- worse, the earpiece is tied back in a hasty coordination. wtf?
i was fuming mad, without thinking twice, i was gonna call the manager. but hey, what evidence do i have? he can just said i used the player then claim to be their fault. and i will look like an idiot there.
so here i am, LEFT WITH A SECOND HAND MP3 PLAYER, BOUGHT FROM BEST DENKI, TAKASHIMAYA, BASEMENT STORE.
guys, be careful. check ur stuffs. their price is intimidating, but u wont believe best denki dare to do this kind of thing.
here are some pics (pardon for low quality):
