Details of the complaint :
Hi people, this is a thread started to warn everyone of this fellow user right here on this forum, candyl0ve AKA BabyTing ("they" are the same person).
Let me start by telling my story:
On 2nd June 2009, I contacted the above user BabyTing, who replied almost instantly, on VR-Zone Forum to order a Roxy slipper that costs $18.90. As it was a preorder, I was told that it would arrive by 15 June. Being wary, I Googled her nick and found nothing that suggests a bad record, so I decided to trust her... but I realised too late that I have made a very bad decision (somehow, instinct told me right after I transferred the money that it could be a scam).
After transferring the money, she then asked me if I am able to get more people to join in the preorder. Since I don't want to get more people in trouble if it's indeed a scam, I politely replied "I'll try" and then said no. I also asked when she'll be making the order and she replied "within these few days".
Our conversations in full:

Fine, so I waited... but until today there has been no replies whatsoever despite several attempts to reach her. Shouldn't a responsible seller at least inform her buyers if the stock arrived late? Finally I decided to do a little research on BabyTing and found that her name is Cherlyn, 20 years old (which might or might not be real info.). Her last log in using this username was on 9th June 2009, afterwhich she has gone MIA together with my and god-knows-whoelses' money...
A little googling and I found out that she uses multiple email addresses and nicks:
Emails that she used include:
prettylittlemistakes@live.com.sg,
candymistakes@hotmail.com,
cherlyn_fc@live.com.sg,
lplovelg@live.com (NEWEST)
Nicks used (in this and OTHER FORUMS):
prettylittlemistakes,
candyl0ve,
BabyTing

Now here's the interesting part that finally convinced me I have been scammed, kindly proceed to Lacoste Polo! and look at how she pretended to be two different users: BabyTing and candyl0ve, to complement each other and increase her "trustworthiness". Look at their posting time, isn't it coincidental that both of them seem to be online at around the same time?
How am I sure they are the same person? She seems to be careful in posting different email address for different username, but alas, everyone makes mistakes.
From another forum:

From VR-Zone:

Now, tell me whether they "coincidentally" share the same email address and nick?
If you are still not convinced, look here for latest posts by candyl0ve : VR-Zone IT & Lifestyle Forum! and here for earliest post by BabyTing: VR-Zone IT & Lifestyle Forum!
Fishy point 1: candyl0ve was actively posting ads during the April period, whereas BabyTing was actively posting ads during the May period
Fishy point 2: Isn't it weird that candyl0ve last posted on Apr 16th 2009, and posted again TWO MONTHS later only to claim the "trustworthiness" of BabyTing (and to taunt another user who was doubtful of the products BabyTing was selling)?
Part Two***
I paid an extra $4.24 just to test her out. And the result?

MIA once again, LoL.
I do not yet have proof of any other parties/accounts that may be associated with this person, and I do not wish to accuse anyone wrongly.
Besides VR-Zone, she also has multiple ads in other Sg forums but I don't know if I'm allowed to post external links here. I have alot more screenshots that I have yet to post out. The purpose of proving that both users are the same person is to warn all online buyers that just because there seem to be someone else who "buys alot of things before" from a particular person does NOT automatically make that person a reliable seller. DO NOT FALL IN THE SAME TRAP as ignorant me! >< I was tricked because I never thought people can be so cunning, but you won't be if you read this thread in time.
The amount that she ran away with from me isn't much, but no one likes being scammed, and I'm already mentally prepared that I will never receive my money back. I'm guessing that I'm the 1st person to actually post out her scam (or I could be the 1st person stupid enough to fall into her trap -_-lll)
To BabyTing, no more excuses from you, I'll be lodging a report tomorrow.
If anyone here is not convinced that she is a scammer, do contact her on my behalf as she's not replying to my emails at all. All I want is a full refund and maybe a valid explanation if possible.
Anyone else who has preordered anything at all, especially in her latest Lacoste Polo preorder (and believe that you have been scammed) may email me at limejuiceee@gmail.com to add to the police report. Thanks for reading =)
Past:
Hi all, I have finally been contacted by the previously-mentioned person, and at the same time I found someone else who had been scammed in another case by her too. Now, I would want to gather more evidence first.
Also, since I need to decide whether to solve things in peace or to alert the police, and to wait for the victim to contact me with more details, I'll temporarily close this thread.
P.s. The purpose of this thread was to increase awareness and prevent others from falling into similar traps, I have no intentions of breaking anyone's ricebowl UNLESS there are dishonest tradings involved, hope that cleared things up? =)
