Illegal to re sell FI Tickets araluen Sep 8th, 09, 10:17 PM #1 (permalink)
Moderators: Why are you still allowing this illegal practice to occurr in the classifieds. The law and conditions on the tickets clearly state that it is illegal to re seel , condone the advertising of such and illegal also to purchase the FI tickets.
Many warnings have been given throughout the media and you risk serious prosecution persisting in this.

This is what i think: I think if the forumer is selling at a price that is reasonable (not to an extend of earning) then i guess the moderator can close one eye. The forumer may have something last min cannot go or something, Besides you cant prevent them from selling to other people outside this forum. However i do see the purpose of banning the sale of the ticket as this may result in problematic situation later on, like buying and selling at high rates, spoiling the event. Oh well....

Bro.....every ticket they resell are actually earning already.
50~60% of F1 tickets are actually company sponsor, or business partner gift......so they are free items.

what is there so illegal about this?? Its unlike the NDP tickets which are complimentary from the nation.. You paid for the F1 tickets and you are the rightful owner of it.. You owned the rightful discretion of you wana do to them.. Though I hated the idea of people reselling it to make quick bucks.. why not put it in a different scenario where you bought it and unable to attend it due to health or personal reasons?? should we throw the tickets away then?? For people who received the tickets as complimentary, they have the option to sell it cheaper for the benefits of the community! so what is so wrong here??

The only thing that is wrong is the organiser wanted the big pie to all themselves and came out with watever reasons to protect themselves.. So long as the seller is not selling it at sky rocket prices to make a tidy profits for themselves.. i dun see a need for the mods to do anything..

As mentioned already a large fraction of tickets are complimentary, and it's illegal to resell complimentary stuff, hence the rule.

Actually the terms are clearly stated on the ticket itself.

If anyone have a problem with the terms, perhaps they shouldnt purchase the tix in the first place?
In addition, those terms are set by the F1 committee, hence if there's any problem, guess its better to goto the source instead?
testing?

which section of the penal code stated that its illegal to resell complimentary items?? kindly enlighten me..

There is so many seller selling items given to them as a birthday gift, lucky draws etc.. so are they doing illegal transaction here?? so long as the seller is selling at fraction of the actual price.. its actually a win win situation for both parties as quoted by our PM.. i dun see anything wrong with it.. but that of cos puts the organiser at disadvantages.. if not for this.. the F1 ticket prices will choke up to exhorbitant prices like wat those 5stars hotels charges their guests during the F1!

The sellers of F1 tickets are doing nothing really evil that will destroy the country.

The ones who are destroying our loved country are the looting bandits from Plunder And Plunder. I suggest you refocus from the evil F1 dealers to using your precious vote to vote against the real evil Plunder And Plunder bandits politicians...
