very bad experience with singtel mobile broadband hz241003 Sep 18th, 09, 12:27 PM #1 (permalink)
i have very bad experience for using singtel mobile broadband,after using for 13 mths which is every month i payed for only less than $30with 50gb limit,and i only used for normal surfing never download,last mth they charged me $580 plus !!!they said i over use for 3gb,but based on the software installed in my laptop my usage for 1 year less than 30GB,i call them to complain and they said ll investigate for me,after that they told me nothing wrong with their system so i still hv to pay for $580,i know that my usage for 1 day less than 500mb,but i still hv paid,i already terminated the plan ,just want to let all forumer know,u better choose unlimeted plan from other telco since singtel dont hv unlimeted plan for mobile broadband!even u r light user cause its not worth when u encounter this kind of problem,wasting ur time to complain and at the end they ll always win and u still need to pay

Dude, every time you surf you are downloading tons of data. Flashing lights, banners, advertisements etc.

Use Firefox and install these add-ons, Adblock Plus, Noscripts. After this you can surf without much worry.

can u just surf net using 1.5gb data for 1 day?

I'm probably using the same BBOM as you.

If you're just using it for normal surfing net. There's no freaking way you can exceed 50GB! They screwed up.

I'm contract just ended, any good promos for BBOM from any operators? Too bad I missed the COMEX.

i take 2mbps plane which is impossible to reach 1gb for 2 hours usage

Just want to share...

last month my billing for SINGTEL BBOM (2MBPS) was $S 557.... i was shocked by the time i read it
i tried to contact 1688 (Billing enquiries), but that wasn't any help.... they said "there's nothing wrong according to our system" and they don't know about technical things.... the lady was blurred when i asked her about Statistic pages in my BBOM, i told her that my total usage all this time is 150GB (in yearly usage)... then how come my last month total usage was 82GB (stated in my bill)!! which i thought totally absurd. it's more than 50% of my total usage man....

I even asked one of my friends who is working in Singtel to help.... but he couldn't do much since he is just an IT officer, then i went to SINGTEL HQ in somerset to settle the problem, unfortunately i got same answer like before... i think they don't have any Customer Service Centre for Billing... in the end they asked me to contact 1688 again

This time a guy answered my call, after explaining my problem to him, he said to me.."there will be an automatic mail send to you if you exceeding 25 and 45 GB", i agreed with him (i already read the mail), then i told him that i found something amis in there... i got my 1st mail (exceeding 25gb) at 26 aug... then on 30 aug i received another mail stating i already exceeding 45gb... that's 20 over gig in 4 days interval... then by 13 sept which is the last record day... stated 82Gb (i assume this value from my Bill)

In the end i paid it and asked them to send my daily usage for september for another $S 10

Now... i check my usage day by day.....

Need to learn from the past... sigh....

Not only singtel, i got the similar problem wif m1 ..., which exceed 150 and they want to sue me, for the past 3 month i'm not in singapore. When I came back to Singapore, they ask me to paid another 250 for legal fee by JUST SENDING ME A FREAKING LETTER FROM A LEGAL company.

I cancelled it the same day after settle all the bill, lesson learned, never take any NON-UNLIMITED broadband mobile, and never assume anything.

Ehz.... I tot M1 mobile boardband is unlimited access too? at least mine did... how come yours will exceed de?
