The item (a JBL Creature speaker system) was sold as a faulty set. Seller claimed that power supply is faulty, but both the satellite speakers and subwoofers are working. On the day of collection, found that the diaphragm of the satellite speakers were actually broken. Seller still maintain that they are working. Since I have come all the way to make the deal and that seller was willing to reduce by $5, I decided to be a gentleman and close the deal (even without the speaker wire for the subwoofer given, although in the ads again seller claimed that the set comes in full accessories). To my horror, when I plug in the set with a working power supply that I have (from a similar model, since I have one at home), the subwoofer became hot and actually "killed" my power supply. I tried explaining this to the seller, but he claimed that I should know what I was in for. Yes, I agree that I am aware, I am buying a faulty set, but not one that will "kill" a perfectly good working power supply. I am not asking that seller compensate me for my loss, but merely asking to return the set for money back. Unfortunately, seller insisted that he has done a fair deal. I felt cheated. I know it is a small amount, but I felt that this incident should not go untold. However, if the majority feel that I am at fault here. I would also gladly take the blame for being stupid.
