This is what happened,

I was selling my girlfriend's ds lite away for her at a price of $150, soon buyer -JF- contacted me and wanted to deal at my place of convenience which is at Serangoon.

We met up and while checking the set he asked why the R4 card doesn't come with a box and i said that when i bought the set together with the card,the shopkeeper installed everything for me and i didn't know that it's supposed to come with a box,but since it doesn't affect the gameplay he said it was ok.i even went home to dig my stuff to double check that i didn't have the box and smsed him to inform him which he said it was ok. After further checking of the set, everything was fine and he paid me.

So i thought everything was alright,until the next day(sunday),he messaged me and asked why the nds yellow light keep blinking.i wondered to myself cos nds doesn't have yellow light,and thought ok maybe he thinks that green is yellow,so i told him that i never encountered the problem but i'll check it out for him.i called my sister who owns a DS and she said that her set never blink before except when she puts the ds on standby mode. however,he said that his ds lite was not on standby mode.

Since i was off at a camp without wifi access i told him to give me some time to check out the prob but he requested for a refund. i told him that i didn't state that i was giving personal warranty so i can't refund him but i will get back to him after i check the problem.

Hence,this morning i went to google about nds lite green light flashing and found out that its blinking because its searching for WIFI access. i even went to a nearby game shop to clarify before messaging him today that the green light flashing is normal as it is due to the WIFI. (now i understand why my sister's green light doesn't blink cos my house doesn't have wireless).

After which,i logged on to VR-Zone and found out that he gave me a bad rating for

"RFOUR no box,cd,card reader,not updated to the latest version but claim that is the latest version
ndsl green light flashing when console is fully charged...
beware gettting console from her check carefully b4 u deal..."

and i was really shocked.because
1. he was acceptable to the R4 not having box before dealing

2. the DS is updated to the latest version v1.18 which you can just on the DS to check (I updated it on thursday before dealing with him)

3. the green light blinking is normal,cos its wifi connection
the light will only turn RED if its running low on batt.

so i smsed him immediately to inform him again,that the green light blinking is not a problem,and the DS is updated to the latest version.however he did not reply me.i found it vital to explains things to him and called him several times which he all didn't pick up.

I would gladly admit if its my mistake that im selling a defect NDS Lite,however i wasn't.the nds is perfectly normal which i took the trouble to update to the latest version (i dunno why he claim it isn't) and filled it with games for him.

omg,what did i do wrong?

Could i den request mods to take down the bad rating?

Well.. We buyers should do research and etc.. Before blaming sellers or at least get a reputable shop to check on it first in disputes... This is pretty unreasonable.. Next time you should mention you will be going away..
Did he say yes to giving you some time to check the problem?

thanks bro for your opinions, i did however mention to him that i was away at a camp without wifi access,but he sorta ignore it and continued to sms me alot of questions,like what is the official website of R4, and i told him bro,i have no access to wifi now,but you can just do a simple search on google,just type R4 ds and the first link you see is the official website.

I mean i even took the trouble to go to the gameshop to ask the shopkeeper about the green light blinking because i realised that there were pretty few discussions online about that,although someone on yahoo! answers commented that it is because the ds is searching for wifi. and i smsed him immediately when i double confirmed that.

till now,he is still not replying to my smses and calls. i seriously don't understand that,if he thinks that i'm the one at fault how come he doesn't answer my calls?

I think we all trade online and hope to keep a decent record of our trades, i'm just not satisfied that i got a bad rating for no particular reason.

i don't think it's your fault. But of course that's a one sided view till he comes in.

Maybe you should ping the Admin to reverse the rating if you have a valid case.

I hate ppl who are fickle minded and decide they don't need the product after purchasing. Then try to use the personal warranty as an excuse to return the product.

yea i've reported the bad rating on me, and smsed him that i started a thread in vr-zone in the dispute section and hope that he comes and clear the misunderstandings but im getting no response from him at all.

Noticed that the buyer is happily bumping his thread today which proves he is alive, but this morning i called him and again he is not responding. What can i do to remove the bad rating on me? i think it reflects badly on one's credibility.

Some time ppls just cannot get over minor issue.
They thought that by raising up the bad point by his word n others will follow suit without hearing from both sides.
Lived with it with a clear conscience......

I definitely have a clear conscience if not i wouldn't be the one smsing,pm-ing and calling him but he's totally ignoring me. either he admitted his mistake and have no balls to face it, or he simply can't be bothered.

seriously, the buyer didnt check up whats the problem and decided to put the blame on u.
I as an owner of 2 NDSL,

1) So what if it's not the most updated version? everything still works.

2) the r4 box can determine if it's the "authentic" r4 coz of many issues which i dun think it's good to explain here. anyway he might be lookin for the lanyard or card reader which comes with the box.

3) the blinking light might be becoz of the game he/she was playing. if he/she was playing mario kart (for example) and tryin to get online/wireless, of coz the light will blink. the ndsl doesnt have a button like PSP to on/off wi-fi. the wi-fi only ons when u need it.

4) i dun remember if the light blinks after fully charge so i can't really comment on his statement.

And yes, the light only got green and red (when batt low), no yellow.

4) i dun think the ndsl is defect but rather the buyer doesnt understand how the thing works. but assuming from what u mentioned, u've been tryin to contact him to provide him a refund and he doesn't reply. he's an unresponsible buyer.

anyway if he's so unhappy with it, try your best refund and get the ndsl back to save all this problem.

actually,as mentioned before,this is my gf's set. i'm usually playing my sister's NDS so i was pretty confused when he mentioned bout yellow light. but after clarification and explanation to him, i'm appalled that he still gave me a bad rating.

well,if he still thinks that he deserves a refund,i would gladly do so but not a full refund.thats why i've been trying to contacting him for the past 3 days.but he chose to ignore all my modes of contacting him,does that mean he's fine with the set already?if so, he should at least have the basic courtesy to tell me that he didn't understand how the NDSL is supposed to work at first and that everything is fine now.

Since both parties are agreeable to remove the feedback, just tell the mods nicely and they will do it for you

yup,he explained to me his situation and i'm acceptable to it as long as he doesn't flame me wrongly and remove the bad rating.
