Rise In Complaints and Dissatisfied Transactions jai-dev Oct 26th, 09, 10:15 PM #1 (permalink)
Over the last few months, i been noticing a great rise in the number of complaint and issues that has been taking place in trasactions bwt buyer and sellers. In the beginin the dispute section only had say once a week, new thrend. now it seems alot of cases have arised.

I am creating this trend because i find it that end the day, those ppl who are frequently lobbying ard vr with transactions, to be affected as they might be blamed for it.

personally i would like to ask all moderators to try eliminate (only) the bad eggs individually from vrzone so as to make it a decent place to transact. Many forumers enjoy this place and i dare say, would be dissapointed if they would be ask to leave just because of someone else wrong way of transacting.

thanks for reading and best wishes for the future.

I agree totally. But, to keep them out totally is kinda though.. Unless we all verify our IC's... I see that some are "repeat offenders" under the a different name/number..

I would suggest hardwarezone setup a shop in sls and allow user to do testing their. In return a comission of 5 to 10 dollars. It might bring down the dispute and cheats

Decent idea (consignment shop almost) but I don't think it'll take off...
I think every buyer needs to do due diligence and we need to have a resolution team or something...then agian, what's in it for them, right?

idea is good but also think it wont be effective..as long it comes down to money..ppl usually tends to avoid that and most of the transaction dont take place at sls..

Most deal are done at convenient locations for both seller and/or buyer.
Its a good but impractical idea.
Its nearly impossible to eliminate the bad dealers as mods can only do as much as to list down the bad dealer......even better there is trader rating to review the person. Its more on how community clamp down on those bas**rds.

Cases like LewisTan doing "shutter run" is really amazing.

LOL I remembered the lewis tan case.

It is rather difficult to have a dispute resolutions team because the mods have full time jobs too. And some cases it is rather difficult to tell who is right or wrong since everyone will put up one sided stories. Unless we have a lawyer here or something to provide advice.

We can implement policies to deal at SLS but it still doesn't eliminate the possibility that people will fly aeroplane.

May I suggest something? Quite a long while ago since people at vr (I included), contributed to the ideas of SB, RP, BNP and so on for a 'fair' trading environment here. The bad eggs have surfaced to such an extent that flying aeroplane, lowballers, no honor of words etc have become a norm.

Why? Because there is no accountability or 江湖地位

I suggest that VRzone link each buyer/seller to, lets say their facebook account. This facebook account must be the actual and working one (for example have >10 real friends). ONLY vrzone knows the facebook accounts (ie buyer/seller can't see).

Now, if there is a problem, a buyer/seller with grief can raise their grievances at this forum section, and depending on the outcome, vrzone moderator can then leave a message at the badegg facebook to let all his/her social friends know what 'may' have happened.

With this 'accountability' in place, it will add one layer of 'protection' for the soft bad eggs to think twice about doing minor trangression. In worst case, we can even paste harden bad eggs pictures on vrzone for others to be warned. Eg cheating case, pirated goods, or that case where buyer took a laptop in a drive by, pass the seller an envelope full of paper...

Just one thought.
Do what is important, not what is urgent
