ok, when i turn my computer on, the screen goes to sleep. and when power button on monitor is pressed says the screen is on power saving mode.

this happened the other day, i changed the cable to the other socket on my video card, and it worked.

any suggestions -.

Same card, if one socket works and the other doesn't, that means one has gone haywire.. Try with another cable to confirm.

i think both are dead, what should i do ???.

Try swap in another vga card, cable, monitor. Just have to work out every variable..
